Over the past year I have been struggling with the frustrating concept of creative possession. We have been exposed to countless copyright and other sorts of protection against people imitating your work but I was always confused by the motive.
Earlier in the year I found a really brilliant article that makes sense of the act of imitation/inspiration but it also explains the confines of where that imitation is appropriate. I found it really useful in understanding my own work and its place. It really is a great read for those who are graduating and are undecided where their practice is heading.
there is a fine line sometimes between inspiration and immitation. Nice article, sums up the issue perfectly. people need to take note
